Many employers - especially large employers - offer MANY different plans - NOT JUST ONE. They generally (but not always) have different group numbers to differentiate between the benefits. Sometimes, the group number is the same for several plans, but the sub-group number tells us which benefits the plan has. We need to be able to have ALL of these different groups in EV! Because EV will not allow us to have more than 1 group number with the same insurance company and employer, we have to do things like rename the insurance company (e.g., Delta Dental of CO, Delta Dental of Colorado, Delta Dental CO, Delta Dental Colorado, DD-CO, DD Colorado, etc., etc., etc.) and/or employer (e.g., Colorado State University, Colorado State Univ., CSU, CO State University, CO State Univ., etc., etc., etc.) This makes finding a plan nearly impossible and we end up with a LOT of duplicates as a result. It makes our files a confusing, disorganized and disastrous mess. An insurance company may also have dozens of different individual plans with different group numbers but no unique group names. EV does not allow for this. This is ridiculous!
