There is a large issue right now with referring doctor names when a practice covers multiple states or areas.
Currently the software does not allow you to enter the same LAST name for a referring doctor.
Most offices get around this by entering in dot / comma or some other character to make a duplicate profile.
Example: John Smith / John Smith.
The problem with this is that it affects letters, narratives, labels and emails that are mailed out of the software.
It is very possible to have a John Smith in Georgia and a John Smith in Idaho, both being different providers, same name.
